The aim of the Association is to advance psychology as a science and as a profession in Kenya.

Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association is a professional association for counselors and Psychologists in Kenya with a membership of about 4000 counsellors and psychologists spread across the entire nation of Kenya. It was formed in 1988 and registered officially in 1990 as the Kenya Counseling Association (KCA).
