Inorganic Chemistry Associations/Organizations

The Kenya Chemical Society

We provide information, education, career services, professional development and engagement programs to help our members and scientists thrive in an ever-changing global economy.

The American Chemical Society

The American Chemical Society serves more than 158,000 members globally, providing educational and career development programs, products, and services. As the largest scientific society in the world, we are a leading and authoritative source of scientific information.

International Council of Chemical Associations

The International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) is the world-wide voice of the chemical industry, representing chemical manufacturers and producers all over the world.

American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC)

"Clinical chemistry is what goes on when you have your blood tests done at the doctor’s office, and it also involves medical testing performed on other human fluids."

"AACC is an international society comprised of medical professionals with an interest in clinical chemistry, clinical laboratory science, and laboratory medicine. Founded in 1948, the society has over 9,000 members and is headquartered in Washington, DC."

American Chemical Society

"A nonprofit organization, chartered by Congress, ACS is at the forefront of the evolving worldwide chemical enterprise and the premier professional home for chemists, chemical engineers and related professions around the globe."

"The Society publishes numerous scientific journals and databases, convenes major research conferences and provides educational, science policy and career programs in chemistry."

American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB)

Biochemical Society

"The Society exists to promote excellence in research and education in the fields of molecular bioscience. The Society's international membership is a network that facilitates the promotion of molecular bioscience.
The benefits of membership provide support and information for you during your career in the science community. You can join at any time of the year and at any stage of your career."

European Photochemical Association

"The objective of the EUROPEAN PHOTOCHEMISTRY ASSOCIATION (EPA) is to promote the development of photochemistry in Europe and contacts among photochemists. The Association is concerned with various experimental and theoretical aspects of the interaction of light with molecular systems, ranging from basic knowledge and practical know-how in photochemistry to application in areas such as chemical synthesis, electronics, material science, nanotechnology, biology and medicine."

Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS)

"The Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) is a federation of 28 chemical societies of countries and territories in the Asia Pacific whose membership consists of individual qualified chemists. Individual chemists in the Asia Pacific may become individual members of the Federation.

"The general objective of the Federation is to promote the advancement and appreciation of chemistry and the interests of professional chemists in the Asia Pacific."

Federation of European Materials Societies

" Networking for European Materials Scientists and Engineers
* 27 European Societies
* 20,000 Materials Scientists and Engineers
* EUROMAT Congress on Advanced Materials and Processes
* Junior EUROMAT conference for the younger generation
* Contributions to European Science Policy"

International Society for the Philosophy of Chemistry (ISPC)

"..devoted to the international exchange of ideas concerning the philosophical foundations of the chemical sciences and related areas. This exchange fosters discourse between chemists, biochemists, philosophers, historians, sociologists and educators. Philosophy of chemistry concerns both internal questions arising from the methods, concepts, & ontology unique to chemistry and chemical research as well as traditional questions in the philosophy of science, addressed from a chemical perspective."

Japan Society of Nuclear and Radiochemical Sciences

The scope of the society covers not only nuclear and radiochemistry but also many related fields, such as analytical chemistry, radiation chemistry, geochemistry, health physics, environmental science, material science, accelerator science, radiation biology, radiopharmacy, and education concerning radiation and radioactivity.

World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists

WATOC was created "in order to encourage the development and application of theoretical methods generally. The most conspicuous activities have been the WATOC World Congresses (the 8th was held in Sydney Australia in 2008), but WATOC has sponsored or co-sponsored numerous smaller conferences on more specialized topics, and serves to facilitate contacts and to disseminate information."

Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC)

"The Society of Environmental Toxicology & Chemistry (SETAC) is a nonprofit, worldwide professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in:
•the study, analysis, & solution of environmental problems
•the management & regulation of natural resources
•environmental education
•research & development
SETAC's mission is to support the development of principles and practices for protection, enhancement and management of sustainable environmental quality

Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Thermoanalyse und Kalorimetrie

"The aim of the society is to promote scientific and technological research in the areas of thermal analysis, calorimetry and chemical thermodynamics. The society strives to promote collaboration between the involved natural sciences, especially chemistry, physics and physical chemistry, as well as their representatives at universities and in industry."

Radiochemistry Society

The Radiochemistry Society is a scientific and professional organization whose members specialize in both applied and fundamental radiochemistry, nuclear sciences and environmental concerns. The primary mission of the Radiochemistry Society is to support its members in their chosen specialty and to promote education and public outreach for the safe use, handling and benefits of radioisotopes in security, energy, agriculture, environment, food safety and medicine.

International Union of Crystallography
